Enjoy the festive season’s tastiest treats at the buffet
Buffet Eckerö is getting into the spirit of the season with Christmas flavours. In addition to traditional festive food, the buffet will also offer some surprising meat and fish dishes, as well as vegetarian and vegan options.
Get into the spirit of the season by starting with the cold fish buffet, making sure to try the whole shrimps, cold-smoked salmon, roe and black seaweed caviar, as well as other delicacies. Fans of herring are in for a real treat with port-marinated herring, mustard herring and the vegan specialty “glassmaster’s herring”, made from eggplant and carrot. These all accompany a range of flavourful meat, fish and vegetable dishes.
Finnish turkey is served smoked and with blackcurrants at the appetizer station, as well as in a tarragon and cream sauce as a hot dish. Hearty flavours complement each other wonderfully at the hot dish buffet. Why not add some breaded cauliflower and mashed kale to your plate alongside the traditional casseroles? These vegetarian treats are sure to convert even the most committed meat eaters.
Delicious rosolli salad is making a bright yellow appearance this Christmas, and we’ve dressed the roasted beetroot in a gingerbread topping. The Christmas ham is cut for you at the buffet, as is the fillet of beef, served with a rich red wine sauce.
The dessert station contains tangy, sweet and rich flavours. The unctuousness of the lemon cheesecake combined with the tanginess of the cranberry syrup creates a perfect harmony of flavours, as does our cranberry semolina mousse. This Christmas, mousse is available in Aura blue cheese and mocha chocolate flavours. Glogg-steeped pears lighten the mood and dates, figs and nutty fudge add the perfect finishing touch to a fantastic dining experience.
