The finest fish specialities at our archipelago buffet
Our summertime Archipelago Buffet menu at Buffet Eckerö will be brimming with an abundance of different fish specialities, crisp salads and other familiar flavours from the islands. In addition to hearty meat dishes, our versatile spread also has options for vegetarian diners.
You should start indulging with lemon-infused shrimp and seafood served on dark rye bread. A tar-flavoured Baltic herring and roasted whitefish with fennel and dill salad accompanied by lemon mayonnaise are also undeniable gems of the buffet. Amongst the meats you will find, for example, smoked lamb roast, slow-roasted “Robber’s pork” and smoked sausages. Appetizers such as pickled chanterelles with carrots and onion, a bulgur salad with vegetables and our grilled summer vegetables will be perfect for diners having vegetarian dishes.
Our summertime main courses include shrimp and salmon fishcakes with a crayfish sauce, lightly smoked flatfish with Jerusalem artichoke cream, pork ribs and oven-roasted celery root dressed with nuts and a vinaigrette, but don’t forget to leave room for sides. In addition to classic boiled summer potatoes. The chef will freshly carve diners smoked pork neck and Hanger Steak.
The dessert station will be set with treats made from fresh summertime berries. You will find strawberries in cake and try some tiramisu strawberries. There will also be blueberry clafoutis with blueberry jam, Åland pancakes and you will, of course, find classic delights amongst the desserts, from cheeses to sweets and refreshingly cooling ice cream.
